Railway transportation of aluminum ingot from northwest China will not be halted during Chinese New Year Holiday, Shanghai Metals Market confirms.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 30 (SMM) - Railway transportation of aluminum ingot from northwest China will not be halted during Chinese New Year Holiday, Shanghai Metals Market confirms.

An article titled with Notice of Railway Transportation Adjustment during the 2017 Chinese New Year Holiday raised market worries over railway transportation, but it later confirmed by SMM that information was not real.
Railway transportation of aluminum ingot, coal and corn will be negatively affected by tight transportation capacity during the holiday period as seen in past years, which will give priority to passengers, but will not be halted completely, SMM learns.

Take Urumqi Railway Station as an example, the Station did not receive any notice about railway transportation suspension during the holiday period.

For any adjustment, railway stations will post official statement on their websites.
